Deep Dirty Truth by Steph Broadribb @CrimeThrillGirl #BlogTour @annecater @OrendaBooks #Review

I’m so thrilled to be one of the stops on the blog tour for Deep Dirty Truth by Steph Broadribb and sharing my review today! First of all though let’s take a look at the description for the book…

ABOUT THE BOOK

A price on her head, and just 48 hours to expose the truth, and save her family… Single-mother bounty hunter Lori Anderson has finally got her family back together, but her new-found happiness is shattered when she’s snatched by the Miami Mob, who they want her dead. But rather than a bullet, they offer her a job: find the Mob’s ‘numbers man’ – Carlton North – who’s in protective custody after being forced to turn federal witness against them. If Lori succeeds, they’ll wipe the slate clean and the price on her head – and those of her family – will be removed. If she fails, they die.

With only 48 hours before North is due to appear in court, Lori sets across Florida, racing against the clock to find him, and save her family…

MY REVIEW

After reading book 1 and 2 in the Lori Anderson Series I knew that I needed plenty of time to focus completely on this book because put it this way once you start I can guarantee you will not want to stop! So what did I think…

In Deep Dirty Truth we see Lori just starting to get back into a routine after everything that has happened previously. However this is Lori and that peace is shall we say short lived when all of a sudden Lori is thrown into a situation that is well and truly out of her control. Now that’s about all you’ll get from me regarding the plot but what I will say is that you are definitely in for one hell of a treat! I was picked up and completely whisked away on this action packed, tension filled journey right alongside Lori. Keeping my heart rate up at all times along with me turning those pages as fast as I could manage. The tension is kept at an all time high and makes this book even more compelling. At times I have to admit to sitting upright feeling on edge wondering how Lori would get herself out of the various situations. Put it this way if I did bite my nails I would have none left!

One of the best things about this series is Lori, I don’t think that there is any character quite like her. There is something that draws you in, from her strength, her determination and pretty much an all round brilliant personality. Steph Broadribb has created someone who you will root for along with making you hope and pray she will find a solution to whatever is thrown at her! Even the secondary characters bring so much all coming together to create a breathtakingly brilliant story!

With writing that completely takes you on an out of control adventure that was both gripping and tense! Deep Dirty Truth guarantees an amazing amount of tension, thrills and action! Loved it!

With thanks to Anne Cater and Orenda Books for my copy and invite to join the tour.
