First of all though let’s take a look at the description for the book…

With the help of handsome teammate Lewis, it’s not long before she’s on aprivate jet heading for the stunning beauty of rural France. With a socialmedia star dog, a high maintenance quiz host and a cast of truly uniquecharacters, Bryony and Lewis have their work cut out for them to stay on theshow and in the public eye.
Yet as the audience grows and the grandprize beckons they find that the search that brought them together may justfulfil more than one heart’s wish…
This heartwarming romantic comedy of friendship, family and laugh-out-loud adventures is perfect for fans of Kirsty Greenwood, Colleen Coleman and Marian Keyes.
Where shall I start with my review, well I guess first of all I have to say that this story left me smiling away to myself along with loving how I got the chance to “meet” so many interesting characters. From loveable Jim to Biggie the adorable pug who I think may actually have more clothes than me! There is a wonderful balance of lighter and deeper moments because at the heart of this story is the heartbreaking fact that Bryony hasn’t seen her sister in years and is still desperately trying to find her. I loved Bryony’s spirit and determination! She is fun, capable and to be honest I think everyone would love a friend like her.
I have to mention the challenges as they were a fun addition to the story and really helped keep the momentum going. You can tell that Carol really knows her stuff when it comes to games shows. I was eager to see what was in store for Bryony along with hoping that she might finally get the answers she had been looking for. Now there is a dash of romance within the story but it isn’t the overall theme and I think this helped give a more fun edge to the book. It felt as if I was right there with the characters hoping they would win the challenges and get through to the next round!
In no time at all I reached the end and if I’m being honest my eyes may have leaked a bit at the ending! What Happens in France has a wonderful mix of fun, fabulous antics and a whole lot of heart!
