Return to Lily Pond Lane by Emily Harvale @emilyharvale #BlogTour @rararesources #Review

I’m thrilled to be taking part in the blog tour for Return to Lily Pond Lane by Emily Harvale and sharing my review today. With thanks to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the invite to join the tour and to the author for my copy of the book. First of all though let’s take a look at the description for the book…

Life couldn’t be better for Mia and her friends in Little Pondale – until tragedy strikes…

Mia Ward is on cloud nine after a magical Christmas and New Year and she isn’t the only one. Everyone on Lily Pond Lane seems to be living in blissful harmony. Until tragedy strikes… not once, but twice. And as Hettie Turner points out: ‘Bad things always come in threes.’

Whilst the other residents of Little Pondale are wondering what might happen next, Mia is busy worrying about her friends and trying to help them with their grief. But she needs to be careful. Just when she thought she had everything, there’s a very real chance she might lose the only thing she truly wants.

It was so lovely to catch up with Mia and Ella along with the rest of the characters who live in Little Pondale. Now if you haven’t read any of the previous books in the series don’t worry too much as I do think you could read this one as a standalone. However as ever to get the full background of the characters I would suggest starting at the beginning!

In Return to Lily Pond Lane we see how even though Mia is perfectly happy and settled in Little Pondale she begins to suffer from bad dreams which leave her feeling like something terrible will happen. But what could go wrong now that she has found the man of her dreams? Unfortunately for Mia she is right and some bad luck is definitely on the horizon!

Even though this book is a novella there is a very entertaining amount of drama within the pages. I’m keeping quiet about what that drama is though! 😉 I love this series for it’s friendship, romance and also the surprises that like to pop up every now and again. There is a wonderful cosy community spirit at its heart that gives not just this book but the whole series a special charm! With it being a short story it was very easy to be whisked away to Little Pondale once more and before I knew it I was nearing the end. As soon as I finished this book I was already looking forward to picking up A Wedding at Lily Pond Lane and catching up with everyone once more!

Cosy and heartwarming!

Having lived and worked in London for several years, Emily returned to her home town of Hastings where she now spends her days writing… and chatting on social media. Emily is a Member of the SoA, a PAN member of the RWA and a Pro Member of ALLi. She’s an Amazon bestseller and a Kindle All Star. Emily loves writing and her stories are sure to bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart.

Emily says, “I write about friendship, family and falling in love. I believe in happing endings.” When she isn’t writing, she can be found enjoying the stunning East Sussex coast and countryside, or in a wine bar with friends, discussing life, love and the latest TV shows. Chocolate cake is often eaten. She dislikes housework almost as much as she dislikes anchovies – and will do anything to avoid both.
