I’m thrilled to be sharing my review for The Disgraceful Lord Gray by Virginia Heath today! With thanks to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the invite to join the blitz and to the author for my copy. There is also a fab giveaway to enter but first of all though let’s take a look at the description for the book…

A spy on a mission…

Until he meets this heiress!

Miss Theodora Cranford’s learned to keep her impetuous nature locked away. She won’t be deceived by another man who can’t see past her fortune. She wants an honourable, sensible sort – not a self-assured scoundrel like her new neighbour, Lord Gray. Although she’s sure there’s more to him than meets the eye… But after that first captivating kiss, she’s certainly left wanting more!

Well where to begin… The Disgraceful Lord Gray has it all romance, drama, danger and adventure. What more can you ask for!

In this book we follow Graham (Gray) who is on the hunt for “The Boss” the leader of a very dangerous smuggling gang. All of the information has led to one area and he must become a part of the inner circle to discover the truth. That is when Theodora (Thea) and Gray meet and what a first meeting it is, it definitely made me smile 😉 From then on expect a gorgeous chemistry as they build up a friendship along with the wonderful addition of Trefor as Gray’s canine sidekick who adds some brilliant and mischievous escapades to the story!

I have to admit that I have been looking forward to Gray’s story because whenever he popped up in the previous books I loved his cheeky personality! In this book it was great seeing even more of that side but also to get an even deeper side that really helped me to connect even more with his character. Then add in Thea who at first glance seems quiet and almost timid but quite close to the surface there is a much more fiery and impetuous nature just waiting to break free.

This really is turning out to be such a wonderful series but please don’t worry about The Disgraceful Lord Gray being part of a series because it still works as a standalone. However I would highly recommend picking up The Kings Elite series as every book has been brilliant!

I don’t want to go into too much detail regarding the plot because there are some revelations and twists that you really don’t want to miss. With a romance that completely melted my heart, making me both smile and sigh in equal measure. Even some minor characters got a happy ever after which I loved! Virginia Heath also always manages to weave the perfect amount of humour into her stories and I think this makes her books extra special!

Romantic, charming and entertaining from start to finish!

When Virginia Heath was a little girl it took her ages to fall asleep, so she made up stories in her head to help pass the time while she was staring at the ceiling. As she got older, the stories became more complicated, sometimes taking weeks to get to the happy ending. Then one day, she decided to embrace the insomnia and start writing them down. Fortunately, the lovely people at Harlequin Mills & Boon took pity on her and decided to publish her romances, but it still takes her forever to fall asleep.
