We Can See You by Simon Kernick @simonkernick @arrowpublishing #wecanseeyou #BlogTour #Review

Thank you for stopping by! I’m thrilled to be taking part in the blog tour for We Can See You by Simon Kernick and sharing my review today. With thanks to Isabelle at Penguin for the invite to join the tour and for my copy. First things first let’s take a look at the description for the book…

You have it all. Success, a beautiful home, a happy family.

Until, in a heartbeat, it’s gone.

We’ve kidnapped your daughter, and we know everything about you. Including the dark secrets from your past you thought were forgotten.

We tell you not to contact the police – and that we’ll know if you do. Because we can see you.

And now you know this is no ordinary abduction. It’s worse. Within hours you’re on the run, with only one thought in your head:

That you will stop at nothing to get your daughter back.

My Review

Well what can I say it didn’t take me long at all before I was pulled into this story. It grabbed hold and wouldn’t let go until everything was revealed! We Can See You has some brilliant twists and turns that really helped to ramp up the tension. I really enjoyed not knowing what would come next other than knowing that Brook would be pulled deeper into a situation she couldn’t control!

Brook is a character who I was rooting for as she desperately tries to get her daughter back. Brook has a strong personality that with each set back and dead end just makes her even more determined. You can feel the tension, fear and panic as Brook is well and truly put through the ringer.

The plot moves at a pretty fast pace and had me questioning everything, it was also interesting seeing the story told from different perspectives. I will admit there were a few times where I was shaking my head and definitely a few times where I felt like shouting “no, don’t do that” but I think that definitely means that I was feeling involved in the story!

We Can See You is the kind of story where I needed to keep reading, I needed answers and I needed them quickly!
